Case Study: LeadingAge PA website redesign

Client Profile
LeadingAge PA is a trade association representing Pennsylvania not-for-profit organizations that provide housing, healthcare and community services primarily to the elderly.
Founded in 1963, the Pennsylvania Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging – now LeadingAge PA – was established to provide education and a voice of advocacy for not-for-profit long term care providers.
Project Summary
LeadingAge PA was seeking a redesign of their website in order to maximize visual online presence, functionality and user experience (from both a member and content administration standpoint) within the framework of our current content management system (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
To celebrate its 50 years anniversary LeadingAge PA partnered with Maxiom Technology to redesign and rebuild their web presence from the ground up.
The organization has not updated their old site for many years. The design and user experience was in dire need of an overhaul and the site was extremely hard to maintain. Integration with the organization’s Association Management System missed also the mark.
Solution
The first step in the process of proposing a sound technology solution is to build or build on top of a base framework that would support the organization for an extended period of time. In this case, LeadingAge PA used Microsoft Dynamics CRM to manage its Membership. Maxiom Technology consulted with LeadingAge PA based on a comprehensive review of expected functionality, it was determined that DotNetNuke was going to be used as the CMS and foundation of the website.
DotNetNuke is an easy to use, yet very powerful and extensible content management system. Cloud hosting and performance execution contributed to a highly available, performant website.
The following is a summary of services performed broken down by phase:
Phase I:

- User Interface (UI) Design
