BMW Performance Center Websites: Three Driving School Sites Built with React and Node.js
Project overview: three marketing websites for BMW Performance Center
We provided consulting, integration and development services for the BMW Performance Center marketing websites: three sites for the BMW Driving School, the BMW U.S. Rider Academy and MINI Driving Experiences, built with React, Node.js, Express and MongoDB.
About BMW Performance Center
BMW Performance Center runs driving programs that teach car control, proper vision, brake points, and more, with professional instructors. Programs cover BMW cars, BMW motorcycles through the BMW U.S. Rider Academy, and MINI, at locations including Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Thermal, California.
The challenge: three driving programs, three websites
Each program has a different audience. Someone looking at a BMW M driving school class wants something different from a new motorcycle rider or a MINI owner looking for a day on track. Each one needed its own marketing website, with its own story and classes, while still feeling like part of the same BMW family.
The three marketing websites
We provided consulting, integration, and development services for the BMW Performance Center marketing websites:
- BMW Driving School, for BMW car driving programs.
- BMW U.S. Rider Academy, for BMW motorcycle riding programs.
- MINI Driving Experiences, for MINI driving programs.
The sites include sections for the home page, driving experiences, BMW Motorrad motorcycles, locations, and MINI, so visitors can explore the programs and find where they are offered.
React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
We built the sites with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, using React for the user interface and Node.js with Express and MongoDB behind it. JavaScript from front to back keeps a family of sites simpler to build and maintain, while each site keeps its own content.
What the sites had to do
A premium driving program's website has to feel like the product: fast on every screen, with photography and video that load quickly, and a clear path from interest to finding a class. Locations and dates have to be easy to find on a phone. That is the UI/UX design and frontend work on these three sites.
We design and build marketing websites and web applications with modern JavaScript. For driver apps, Maxiom Apps builds automotive products. To add engineers, you can hire React developers or hire Node.js developers through Maxiom.dev.
