A custom real-time sign designer
We built a custom real-time sign designer for ASI Signage, with online ordering and eCommerce built in. Customers design their signage interactively, see the sign change as they work, and order it from the same screen.
We started with an analysis of ASI's requirements, then designed an interface that stays easy to use even when the sign has many design elements. The designer runs on DNN (DotNetNuke), the .NET content management platform, and connects to ASI's existing systems through API integrations.
Why a live preview changes the order
Custom signage has a lot of parts: size, materials, colors, lettering, symbols, and, for many interior signs, accessibility rules. When customers can only describe what they want, every order starts with a round of drawings. A real-time designer changes that:
- Customers see the sign before they order. What they design is what they get.
