It was already late October 2011 when our very own DotNetNuke Core Team member Antonio Chagoury committed to translating the entire core framework from English to Italian and contribute it as Open Source. As if that wasn’t challenging enough, Antonio further made the promise to complete the translation to coincide with the DotNetNuke World event which was only a few weeks away, on November 10, 2011.
We are happy and proud to announce that, with the help and support of our talented and multi-lingual staff, the language pack was delivered and released with plenty of time to spare and is now available for use in DotNetNuke Community Edition 6.1.0.
We are also pleased to announce that as of 11/11/2011 the Italian Version of DotNetNuke is available directly from the Microsoft Web Application Gallery (http://www.microsoft.com/web/gallery/dotnetnukeit.aspx) and/or Web Platform Installer.
We hope that all Italian DotNetNuke users find the language pack useful as well as hope to see new adoptions from Italian web community members who previously shied away from DotNetNuke due to the lack of the Italian language support.
Finally, at Maxiom Technology we are always looking for ways to improve, and as such we welcome feedback and constructive criticism; Feel free to drop us a note if you have any and we’ll surely incorporate them in future releases.
